Clots More Updates

My friends, consider yourselves fortunate when all kinds of trials come your way, for you know that when your faith succeeds in facing such trials, the result is the ability to endure.

James 1:2-3 (NLT)

As usual, I am slow in posting an update but as they say, better late than never. It has been a busy couple of weeks, so this will be a pretty lengthy post.   Continue reading

Clots of Updates

  • “When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.” Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?” The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.”  ‭Matthew‬ ‭8:5-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I received another call from the PA at the cancer center letting me know that she had just received the test results from Saturday.  She explained that she didn’t tealize how large the DVT actually was before receiving the ultrasound.   Continue reading

Where’s my baseball glove?  I have some catchup to do.

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”Romans 12:12 NIV

I know it has been some time since my last update. I could suggest that there really hasn’t been enough newsworthy items to make it worthwhile of your time. In reality though, it is more of a laziness factor than anything else.

The last I left you, I believe I was scheduled for my second PET scan to evaluate the progress of the chemotherapy. Continue reading

Updates …

He who lives in the safe place of the Most High will be in the shadow of the All-powerful. 2 I will say to the Lord, “You are my safe and strong place, my God, in Whom I trust.” 3 For it is He Who takes you away from the trap, and from the killing sickness. 4 He will cover you with His wings. And under His wings you will be safe. He is faithful like a safe-covering and a strong wall.Psalm 91 (NLV)

It has been quite some time since I have updated my blog. I honestly have no legitimate excuse other than laziness. I know they say that chemo causes fatigue and yes, I have definitely experienced some serious fatigue, Continue reading

Catching Up

I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.”

Isaiah 42:16

The last couple of days have been something of a blur. The Dr visit on Wednesday went well. However, it brought up a concern.  The Dr explained that considering the size of the tumor and the aggressiveness of the cancer, I needed something in addition to the standard R-CHOP chemo regimen. Continue reading

Be Strong

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

I’ve been somewhat lax in keeping up with my blog for the past couple of days. I have been fortunate to be permitted to work some this week, which has made me a little more tired than I anticipated. It is great to be able to do some work! Continue reading

Weathering the Storms of Doubt

“Come,” He said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭14:29-31‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Yesterday was a great day without event. I woke around 7 am and decided to attempt to make it as normal a day as possible. I dressed, brushed my teeth, brushed my hair (yes, I still have my hair for now), shaved, Continue reading
